- Visit us at Oshkosh 2014
We will be camping under the wing of our XT912 Tundra trike with Arrow S wing near the Ultralight Barn Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We'll also be doing demonstration flights. A&M Airsports chief pilot/instructor/examiner, Mike Hudetz, will give a presentation at the seminar tent near the Ultralight Barn on the Airventure grounds Saturday, August 2nd at 1pm.
- Taildragger Training
A&M Airsports Ltd. will begin offering Tail-dragger training starting October 1st, 2013. Instruction will be given by Richard Kosi in his Light Sport 1946 Aeronca Champ at Cushing Field 7 days a week. This training is designed for trike pilots who want to get an add on rating in fixed-wing/tailwheel, and for Private and Sport Airplane Pilots who would like a Tail-wheel endorsement. Walk in traffic will be accepted but its best to call Mike Hudetz at 630-664-1892 to reserve a training slot. Training is $140 per flight hour which includes the aircraft, the instructor, and the fuel.
- Ladies First Flight Free
Women make up about 1% of trike pilots. They also have a large influence on whether or not their husbands participate in the sport. To encourage women, and to assure them of the safety of this sport, we are now offering free intro flights (10 to 20 minutes) to women age 16 and older. These will be given, time permitting and weather permitting. Walk in traffic is welcome; but making a reservation a couple days ahead of time is advisable.
- Trike Insurance
Insurance has finally become available for Trikes through Falcon Insurance , which is closely associated with EAA.
This also means that financing is also available through several sources. If this has been standing in the way of your decision to own a trike or form a trike club, it is no longer an obstacle.
